Holiday Programs

Our holiday programs run for 1 week every school holidays and are perfect for little ones between the ages of 4 and 12.

For more information and FAQ's have a read below!

How each day runs

Our days start at 8:30am with music and games but our first class won’t start until 9am so feel free to arrive anytime with in that first half an hour

Students will then take part in a classical ballet class then a contemporary dance class before having their crunch and sip.

After a break we head back into the studio for musical theatre and drama then it’s time for lunch!

After lunch it’s time for arts & craft! We have 1-2 different activities to do each day as well as loads of colouring ins!

After a quick clean up its time to settle in for a movie and before we know it, grown-up are arriving and it’s time to go home.

The only day that this changes is on Friday afternoon where we spend a little less time on craft and movies so we can put on a performance for all the grown-ups!

Drop Off

We know how tricky mornings can be especially during school holidays that's why we have a flexible drop off time.

While our doors open at 8:30am our first class doesn't start until 9am. During that first half an hour we play games, listen to music and usually have a bit of a boogie. It is a great time to meet the teachers and for the little ones to get comfortable in the space.

So feel free to arrive anytime between 8:30 and 9am.

Timetable

Below is the base timetable we follow each day of our holiday programs. We often shuffle things around ie. have an earlier lunch or extend arts and craft depending on a few factors such as the size of the group and the average age.

Our days will always run from 8:30am - 4:30pm

Pickup

Pickup time is 4:30pm for our holiday programs but you are of course welcome to pick your child/ren early if you wish. We ask that you please let us know at drop off if you will be collecting your child early.

Parent Showing

On the last day of each of the programs we love to invite grownups into the studios for a showing. Here students perform pieces from all their classes during the week in front of a backdrop created by them in arts & craft.

This is a wonderful way to end the week and an amazing way to see even the quietest of performers shine in their own special way!

What happens if my child needs something during the day?

If anything happens from a stumble and a bumped knee to wanting to talk to mum or dad we will give you a call and/or a text if we can't reach you. If you need to get in touch with us at any time or your child has some specific requirements we are happy to chat on the phone or at drop off.

What experience do the instructors have?

All of our senior instructors have 5+ years experience in teaching dance to children from 4-18 years of of age. They all hold current Working with Children cards and are first aid qualified. They also all currently teach dance in a range of styles and to a range of ages at our partner schools like Charlesworth Ballet School and Schools Go Dance.

Alongside these talented ladies we have a range of current ballet students who volunteer their time to start learning what it takes to be a dance teacher. These students are dancers from Youth Ballet WA's pre-professional programme and Charlesworth Ballet's senior levels. Their responsibilities include demonstrating and participating in dance and movement classes and being helping hands in arts and crafts.

What if we are unable to attend one or more of our booked days?

We get it sometimes things don't quite go to plan and for any number of reasons you/your child may be unable to attend one or more of the days you have booked. Ordinarily we are happy to swap your enrolled days within the same programme, this does however depend on how many students we are expecting on the new days.

In some circumstances we may be happy to move your booking to the next school holidays or provide a refund but this is completely at our discretion and not guaranteed.
